We are pleased to announce Danette Boone as a guest speaker for the 2nd Annual Women with a Purpose Business Expo. Danette will be presenting Leadership Skills for Women where she will discuss techniques to help you to define, prepare and develop your leadership skills. Learn more about Danette below:

Danette Boone is President and CEO of D. Boone & Associates, a consulting organization that provides educational training and development on women’s wellness issues and eldercare. As the Principal Consultant, Ms. Boone is a certified trainer on women’s wellness topics that focus on the mind, body and spirit connection. Her sessions have been created to empower women of all ages regarding emotional, mental and spiritual health. Her current workshop series includes topics such as Women and Leadership, The Superwoman Syndrome, Building Sisterhood, Emotional Wellness for Women and Caregiving 101.

With an extensive twenty year background in Management, Finance as well as Sales, Ms. Boone has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management, and a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management. She is currently completing a degree in Accounting.

Ms. Boone is also a certified trainer with the National Medicare Training Program through the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

In addition to being a professional speaker, trainer and consultant, Ms. Boone has co-authored two books Emotional Wellness for Women, Vol. II (PWN 2008) and The Baby Boomer’s Handbook for Women (PWN 2008). Future book projects to be released in early 2009 through Professional Woman Publishing include Wellness for the African-American Woman and Life Skills for the African-American Woman.

Ms. Boone is a founding member of Woman2020, a professional and social network. She is a member of The Professional Woman Network where she currently sits on the International Advisory Board. Other memberships include the National Association of Female Executives and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
